This one-time 18th century palace – former summer residence of owners the Sersale family – has all the feel of an opulent family home. Dine on Neapolitan dishes such as linguine with frutti di mare, served in the glow of 400 candles. It's a beautiful setting and the cooking is first-rate, thanks to Le Sirenuse's links with three-Michelin star chef Alfonso Iaccarino. There's also a champagne and oyster bar on the terrace, where you can dine with fabulous cliff-edge views.

Good eateries include Cambusa and Max. Both are nearby and serve excellent local dishes.
