Look forward to excellent breakfasts here,  served al fresco on the front deck or delivered to your cottage. Evening meals are also available by arrangement (24 hours notice), and the fresh seafood platter goes down a treat – especially with a crisp bottle of Hunter Valley white wine. Other options include spinach and ricotta lasagne, and you'll want to round off with one of the speciality desserts such as crème caramel.

You're in the heart of NSW surfing country here. Pristine beaches and uncrowded surf are right at your feet  – survey the surf from your hillside vantage point (you can even spot dolphins or whales from here)  then grab your board and go. You'll find great waves around the river mouth at nearby Nambucca Heads and dozens of other spots. Your hosts have plenty of local knowledge and will be happy to point you the right way.

Go exploring in a 4WD beach drive or rainforest tour, bushwalking on mountain trails or discover the nearby coastal towns of Nambucca Heads and Coff's Harbour. Or simply birdwatch from your deck: don't be surprised to spot cockatoos, king parrots, lorikeets, rosellas and other exotic species.
