Eat & Drink
Dining in
Chef Massimo Bocus serves Italian cuisine with an international flair, and outdoor summer dining offers fantastic views of the distant Florentine skyline. The food matches up too, with dishes such as spinach gnocchi with fresh zucchini, ricotta, mint and ground black pepper. International flavours are given an ‘Italian job,' and Irish lamb comes encrusted with herbs, fennel and fresh mint pesto.
Breakfast
Buffet breakfast is served until 10:30am. Choose from a sumptuous selection of Italian pastries, meats and cheeses.
Room service
Available 24 hours a day.
See & Do
See & Do
If the body beautiful is your prime concern, there's mountain biking and a fitness centre here. A trip into Renaissance Florence and its feast of galleries, churches and museums is surely a must, as is a tour of local vineyards and wine cellars. Hot-air balloon trips over the Tuscan landcape are also easily arranged. If you can't tear yourself away from the haven of the hotel, that's fine too.
Spa
The Taj Mahal comes to Tuscany in Villa Mangiacane's brand new Nadushka spa, with its exotic Asian-inspired decor. Soothe body and soul with holistic beauty products made from local ingredients, have one of the many pampering massages on offer or turn up the heat in the sauna and steam room.
Diary Dates
2 July and 16 August
Enjoy the thrills (and many) spills of Siena’s world famous Palio horse races.
Easter Sunday
More thrills, and a big explosion at Florence’s Scoppio del Carro. This is where a dove-shaped rocket is fired from the cathedral to blow up a flower-filled cart in the square, much to the delight of spectators.
A complimentary bottle of Prosecco and fresh fruit; plus an upgrade if available.
