The adjacent Bella Vista vineyard supplies L’Albereta with exclusive, limited-production Franciacorta wines and bubbly.

Breakfast
Full breakfast (charged at EUR 30) is served until 10:30am. There’s an array of healthy options, and you can eat en suite or in the light filled breakfast room.

Dip in the pool, play tennis, jog along the fitness trail that meanders through the grounds, hire a mountain bike or simply stretch out on a sunbed. Tour the neighbouring Franciacorta wine cellars or see the sights in historic Brescia and the lovely hilltop Citta Alta of Bergamo.

Hop aboard a boat to visit the island on Lake Iseo, or try some adrenalin-high watersports like jet skiing and paragliding. There’s also plenty of golfing nearby. Further afield, star crossed lovers can visit Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet.

Spa
Overseen by health guru Dr Henri Chenot, L’Albereta’s Espace Vitalité wellness centre is more than simply a five-star pampering oasis. This temple of good health specialises in biontology – the science of anti-ageing.

Guests are offered bio-energetic testing to determine the body’s toxin levels, and treatments range from hydrotherapy and water cannoning to facials, massage and mud wraps. Saunas, steam baths and the exotic sounding bio meso-lift will also see you emerge in peak condition. Personalised diet regimes are offered for those who can resist L’Albereta’’s terrific cooking.
