Created from two 18th century merchant’s houses, Ryad Dyor fuses traditional Moorish and chic contemporary styles. Stamped with the creative eye of its Dutch designer owners, it’s a cool and relaxing oasis.
Know It All

Close to the souks in the Marrakech medina.
Come here for...
• A funky fusion of Euro-Maroc design. • Chic and sensuous suites. • Just the place for souking up the sights of Marrakech.
The rooftop terrace is the perfect place for cocktails. There’s also a hammam and plunge pool for working up a sweat and cooling off.
Good to know
The owners are Dutch interior designers – and it shows.
Seven rooms and suites
Rooms have kingsize beds and up-to-the-minute comforts (including babouche slippers), with an appealing mix of modish and trad furnishings. Look out for quirky design details such as copper lanterns, Balinese mirrors and egg-smooth tadelakt bathtubs. Most have latticed windows and fireplaces.
Our favourites include Room Seven (the Terrace suite), with its own shaded private terrace and a bathtub for two, and Room Six, with its own verandah.
Eat & Drink
Dinner is served on request: expect spiced-up Moroccan dishes such as beef and prune tagine or chicken with capers, and some delicious desserts.
Generous Moroccan breakfasts are served until 10:30.
Don’t leave without booking a traditional hamman. Local therapists are on call with a range of massage, facial and nail treatments.
