The Toren
Sumptuous townhouse treat in canalside setting
Oozing boudoir chic from its sprawling beds to its signature double jacuzzi tubs, The Toren is just the place for naughty nights in Amsterdam. Preening in plushest silks and velvets, it revels in the theatrical.
Know It All
Hit the spot
In a plum spot beside the graceful Keizersgracht canal.
Be savvy
Standard and small double rooms are snug, and don’t have the double jacuzzi baths. It’s a 17th century building, so be prepared for some steps!
Be smitten
Decadently Dutch.

Special features
All rooms come with a Nespresso coffee machine, flatscreen TV and Ipod dock, while luxurious bathrooms have a whirlpool bath. Special Deluxe rooms and above boast double jacuzzi tubs and canal or garden views. There’s free wi-fi in the communal areas (payable in-room).
Pillow talk
Splashing out? Then it has to be either the sprawling Royal suite with its fireplace, fabulous chandelier and downstairs bathroom or the equally fabulous Garden Cottage (more of a lodge), with its steam room bathroom and sleek contemporary feel. Room 411 (a Special Deluxe) is canal facing and pretty special too.
Also….
Lit by oil lamps in the evening, the decked garden is the perfect place to sip a cocktail or two.
Eat & Drink

Breakfast
Buffet breakfast is served until a lazy 11am. Look forward to Dutch cheeses and hams, muffins, freshest breads and serve-yourself hot dishes.
Room service
Available 24 hours.
See & Do
See & Do
You’re at the heart of the city here, with scores of things to see and do nearby. Anne Frank’s house is just around the corner, while the more louche charms of the red light district lie within a 15 minute walk. Admire the Van Goghs and Rembrandts at the city’s top art museums, or check out the rather more offbeat exhibits in the Hash, Marijuana and Hemp museum.
Go native and hire a bike to pedal around the city, take a cruise along the canals, or linger in one of Amsterdam’s traditional brown cafés with a Pils. In summer, Vondelpark offers a relaxing breather from the city‘s bustle.
Spa
While there is no spa, The Toren can arrange passes to a nearby health club at specially discounted rates.
Diary Dates
