Alternatively chill out at nearby Tytherington leisure club, where guests get discounted entry to use the golf course, Olympic-sized pool and gym. If you’d rather watch then do, take a tour of Old Trafford’s football and cricket ground in Manchester, 15 minutes away by train. There are many golf courses in the area and you can be barefooting it along a Welsh beach after an hour’s drive.
