There's no restaurant, so you'll be dining out. But there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
Served in the kitchen until 10am. Help yourself from the huge Mediterranean-style buffet laden with pastries, cold meats, cheeses – all locally sourced – herbal teas and Fairtrade coffee. You can take a tray back to your room or eat in the lounge, with its easy chairs and coffee tables. Naturally everything is fresh and organic, from the sausages to the champagne. Just don't expect a traditional fry-up here!
No – but you can purchase wine and drinks from reception.
See & Do
You're in the heart of the Lake District National Park here. Walks abound around Grasmere, whether you are novice or experienced fell walkers. Major climbs such as Helvellyn, Langdale Pikes and Scafell Pike are all within reach, and famous peaks such as Coniston Old Man & Skiddaw are just a short drive away.
Dove Cottage, poet William Wordsworth’s Grasmere home, is a ten minute walk away and includes a fascinating museum. Grasmere also has plenty of galleries and gift shops as well as Sarah Nelson’s famously pint-size gingerbread store, whose fans include a number of TV chefs.
