The Miller of Mansfield

Generally a wonderful stay. The quality of dining was fantastic, and the room and especially the bath was as advertised and a treat for us. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

Fair to say our stay was absolutely perfect. The room was amazing, and the bath was just as described. We ate in the restaurant on the first night, and the food was well priced and really well done. On the second night, we ate from the bar menu outside. I had the Miller of Mansfield salad. I’ve eaten at a lot of London’s best restaurants, but I have never had a salad as nice as this one. At the end I asked if the chef would give me the full recipe not just the short one on the menu and he provided the entire thing. The village and the water were also amazing, though we did have sensational weather, which helps! My girlfriend and I would go back any time. On every level it was one of the best English country inns I have ever stayed at, and I’m including top competition like Babington House, Charlton House etc … the Miller is more relaxed, more English, with better food and individual rooms that are properly romantic.
