Special features
Each room has a different decorative theme – whether inspired by Morocco (as in Rahmoune) or the Maldives (Rangali). Rooms have widescreen TVs with satellite channels, wi-fi, a DVD player and home made shortbread. Many have rolltop baths or double showers.

Pillow Talk
Five rooms – Nishiki, Kariega, Rangali, St Jean and Rahmoune – have their own terrace with an outdoor hot tub. Our favourite rooms include orientally themed Nishiki, Kariega, with its riverside hot tub, and loft-style Greenwich, with its side-by-side bathtubs. Rococo-style Pienza is another charmer, with its ornate carved bed.

Eat & Drink

Dining in
Ornate mock-baroque mirrors, standout wall fabrics and teardrop chandeliers make the dining room at Yorebridge House a special place to dine. Have a drink in the intimate little bar first or sink into a suede armchair in the lounge for a chaser later.

Try the poached lobster and seared scallop salad to start, followed by mains such as grilled Wensleydale fillet of beef with red wine sauce or rack of local lamb. Delicious desserts include warm pear and almond tart, home made icecreams and local cheeses. There’s also a bar menu for lighter bites. Private dining possibilities include a dinner in the hotel’s new Krug champagne cellars. 

Breakfast
Served until 10:30am. Treats include smoked salmon, Yorkshire ham and Wensleydale cheese, organic muesli and fruit compote. Go for the full Yorkshire if you’re seriously peckish.

Bring your walking shoes and head out into the glorious Dales – Yorebridge House will pack you a picnic lunch to eat along the way. Take a peek at Aysgarth Falls – a tree-lined flight of waterfalls on the River Ure – and other scenic highlights. Cheese lovers will enjoy a trip to the Wensleydale Creamery to see how the region’s most famous export is made.
